1st off I'll say hello to everybody in jump straight into my problem. Long story short I installed a single speed sensor 4R70W in to my 2005 town car. Is there anything I can actually do to use it with the car or do I really have to pull everything out and go source another transmission? Thanks in advance for all your time

I would like to introduce myself.
My name is Nathan, and I own a 2002 Grand Marquis GS. It has just hit the 100k mark.
I need to replace the header panel, grille, and headlights. Possibly bumper. It seems pretty easy to do. I just need to make it to the junkyard and maybe I can use some parts from a Marquis that is on the lot.
My main concern is the headlight assembly. I don't want to have crappy headlights, and or have to adapt them to fit correctly. Any suggestions on parts for this vehicle? I have looked at rockauto, a1auto, and carparts. Thanks anyone. I greatly appreciate it.

Not only am I new here, but I'm also new to Fords, and this past week I bought my first Ford, it's a 2010 Crown Victoria P7B. It's an ex Ontario Provincial Police unit out of the Niagara detachment with only 166k Kms and less than 1700 hours. I'm here to learn about these cars.

Hello, new to this great forum after being turned onto it by a friend after purchasing my first P-71. I drove them for years as a suburban cop and I'm intimately aware of their capabilities and dependable reputation. Was wondering what the consensus is regarding my purchase: I snagged a 2008 DHS/U.S. Customs & Border Protection Field Operations car. 11,600 miles & 27 (yes - Twenty Seven) Idle Hours. Absolutely perfect minus the semi dry-rotted original Goodyear RSAs which will be replaced soon. Four small holes in the roof where the light bar was mounted, now puttied over and touch-up painted. She still smells new and you'd be able to eat off both the engine bay and interior she's so clean. My mechanic gave her his ultimate blessing after checking everything including the undercarriage while up on a rack. She's tight, no squeaks, squeals or rattles and everything works as new. All fluids look and smell as they should... an oil and filter change, air filter swap and a bottle of fuel treatment for now. CarFax shows 2 oil changes and the steering shaft recall, all done at a Ford dealership in Oregon - that's it. I think it was fairly priced at $10,800. Opinions? Comments? Look forward to sharing pix once she's registered and driven daily.

  Steering Lock

Looking for someone who knows anything about steering wheel lock mechanisms. After a column shifter delete and floor shift install, I’ve lost the steering lock feature when the car turns off. Not sure if it’s an electrical thing or...? I’ve had the battery unplugged for several weeks/months during the project. I know the high speed steering stiffener has to relearn after a few drive cycles. I just can’t seem to find anything on the column that looks responsible for the lock feature.
