My name is Craig...my user-name stems from my Mark VIII forum identity as well as some other panther message boards/forums.

I'm not new to the Panthers...I had a 96 MGM from 1998-2003
traded that in on my old 94 Lincoln Mark VIII.
a few years later I sold it and bought a 2000 CVPI P71 converted to Civilian status.
I sold that a couple years ago for a 95 Mark VIII, sold that for a 98 Mark VIII LSC...and recently returned to the Panther fold with my recent purchase:

2006 Merc. Grand Marquis LS in Light Tundra metallic/light graphite interior.
98k miles, 3 owners, bought it off a scab lot in Sacramento. I spent months looking for a 2006-2011 Crown Vic LX or Grand Marquis LS in this color, but they seem non-existent in my neck of the woods, or are pre-05. Alas I found the one, and bought it quite well as It came with a few pre-existing problems that I am slowly going to conquer:

1)recently replaced the alternator due to intermittent charging issues
2)air bag light syndrome/chime nightmare from faulty pre-tensioners
3)only 1 key
4)missing RKE code sticker that I need to have retrieved from the pcm

other than that, it drives like the dream I wanted.

I used to modify every single car I owned...from stereo to exhaust, suspension, transmission(JMOD), sway bars, wheels, tires, etc.

Not this one...nope...my modifying days are OVER. I am leaving this one STOCK with the exception of window tinting and a decent/modern stereo head unit ONLY for use with iPhone for Pandora, hands-free calling, bluetooth, etc.

[attachment=2349][attachment=2349]I've liked the platform for a long time and always wanted one but recently decided it probably won't happen because I can only check so many cars off my bucket list and I have too many unfinished car projects currently.
But then my daily driver decided to start eating it's cam, this is a stock Mustang GT that has been sort of a PITA in the two years I've owned it so decided to sell it while it's still worth something and get a new DD. This is where (finally) the Crown Vic comes in.
I've known about the car for about a year since it belonged to a coworker and we would talk about what could be done to make it cool. I would usually try to discourage him when he talked about selling it. So after the stang had its issue I asked him if he was still interested in selling, badabing badaboom and a deal is made.

It's a 2000 LX with some recent changes from the coworker, Bilstein shocks, new springs front and back (was air ride) dimpled and slotted rotors in the front and a K&N drop in. I've had it about a month and other than some swaybar noise it's been trouble free, sway bar will be dealt with in a few months.

I already had it tinted and put rims on it, had to make it mine and it needed tires anyway as the old tires were 9 yrs old but looked good.

Just purchased my first interceptor and am anxiously awaiting its arrival. It's being transported from AZ to TN. Should be here by the end of next week.
I've been wanting one of these cars for a long time and after the recent death of my 95 Jeep Cherokee - we affectionately called "the Turdle", I was able to find one!

It's a 2010, former NM State Patrol cruiser in the dark gray exterior/black interior.

I used to own a foxbody that I'd built up to show/open track/autox but had to sell her a few years back. It was featured in Modified Mustang magazine back in 2008. It was a 93 gt that I'd bought new and owned for 20yrs!

So that's one of the reasons I like these CVs. A lot of crossover parts not only readily available but also to help personalize!

I'll post up some pics when it finally arrives! I'm certain I'll have a bunch of questions once it does and I look forward to getting to know you guys.

New owner of a 2008 P71

Its great to finally come full circle and own arguably one of the best vehicles ever made. From an early age I had exposure to the CV and quickly developed a deep admiration for it. My father was a law enforcement officer in socal from 83 to 2012, so for many years it was through him that I got first hand experience and developed a passion for the CV. As the years passed growing up, the stories of my father and his trusty steed (CV) running down bad guys in LA kept stacking up. Sure the P71s are fast, but the stories weren't always about speed. Many of the stories detailed the power, durability and reliability of these cars. These cars were almost always a part of the conversation at many officer family get togethers. When I became of age, and learned more about cars, I started to really appreciate these cars. This legendary car was grounded in reality. I'm glad to finally own one of my own. I found a great deal on a 2008 P71, with 78k original miles, clean title and in very good condition. I'm in the nacsent stages of looking at things to do to it. I'm open to and would greatly appreciate any heads up or suggestions about my car. Thank you for having me on board.

Purchased a 2002 Lincoln Town Car Executive recently, 77k original miles. Lots of good info here so thank you everyone for that! Will post some pictures soon.

Planning some minor changes;
Wheels/Tires
Exhaust
Tint

Not necessarily in that order, will need tint before the desert becomes the desert again.
