Hey everybody,

My name is Trent. I'm new to this forum, but not new to Panthers. I'm currently driving my 6th since I've had a license, a stock (for now, *evil chuckle*) 03 MGM LS.

I'm a fulltime security officer, and an occasional EMT-B lol. Glad to meet y'all!

Hey my name is Thomas and I drive a 2005 Mercury Grand Marquis GS I bought a little over a year ago. Interestingly I got the car and about a month or so later I stumbled on a couple members of a Panther car club called Midwest Panthers, and not even a month after I got my car plated I was in a charity car show. Then not even a few months after that I was driving all the way to Branson to be a part of an annual Panther car show, and all the while I was still comprehending the fact that I finally found a group I fit in with (yeah, nerdy thing to say but whatever).

Anyway because of my car I've joined a car club and found people I consider friends, and because of those two things I am able to carefully mod my car with smart improvements like the J-mod. And now I'm here to share my progress as I make my car better than both any regular Grand Marquis and P71 Crown Vic. If you wanna check out what I have done and will do to my car, you can check out my car in the garage below

Other than that, I'm hoping I can find some helpful tips and stuff on this forum to guide me on my "build" and get inspiration for future projects

Hey there.. David here. Just picked up a 2011 and discovered once joining the fray it's also a whale! Ha Ha I guess compared to my G35 and NA miata it does corner sorta like one. Anywho, besides utilizing it as regular state to state (AZ & Cally) cruiser I'm refitting the console etc. for film work later this year. I've owned 9 Mustangs before this and a few other Fords so pretty familiar with them. I do most of my own work and right off the bat will be looking for radio install help on here which, is how I found this site. See you around.

Another Newbie here with my most recent purchase, a 2008 Mercury Grand Marquis. I already have extensive plans for the car. It's quite sluggish now and handles like a boat so I want to make some upgrades to correct both of these issues. I originally planned to purchase a P71 and I test drove a couple prior to buying the MGM. I love the way the P71 performs, but I also wanted the Grand Marquis leather interior. After driving my Grandpa car for a month I made the decision to put some time and effort into making it perform and handle better. Thus, turning this Grandpa car into a real sleeper.
I've already started collecting the parts needed for the upgrades. But since the car has the single exhaust and no oil cooler I can't really start putting what I have on until after I get those two issues corrected. I also have a set of P71 KYB shocks and struts on order. I'll order the springs next month so that everything works well together. I'll finish up with the P71 air box and a dyno tune after most everything else is on the car.
I've gotten most of my ideas from reading the threads and post in this forum. Thanks for the many ideas and pointers.

Hello, Folks...
Would just like to start off with saying this is the first time I have ever signed up for a forum of any kind. These dang computers don't come naturally to me. No grease on 'em. So, please forgive me for errors I may be involved in whilst trying to figure things out, here...
So, I picked up an '03 Lincoln Town Car in November of 2015. I wasn't looking for one, just presented itself to me. I paid $2000 for it, with 91,000 miles on the clock. One owner car. Promptly dealt with torque convertor shudder issues, replacing the motor/transmission package in the driver's seat, and tracing down a leak that had plagued the car since day one of it's existence. Water would fill the rear passenger foot-well. Also replaced the plugs and coils to eliminate a bad misfire. I've now put 11,000 miles on the car, and have grown rather fond of it. Only problem is, it looks like an "old man's car", and I'm not quite ready for an "I Love Bingo" bumper sticker, yet! So to remedy that problem, I picked up a set of '06 Mustang GT 5-spoke rims (the silver spokes, though I actually prefer the darker ones). Going to mount some 235/60r17 tires soon (slightly taller than stock, but I want the taller sidewall to fill out the wheel openings better). After that, I'm going to change out the mufflers to something with just enough rumble to let me know the car (and I) still have some life left.
I'm looking forward to participating in this forum. I'm not new to cars (having owned over 300 in my lifetime), but the Panther platform is new to me. So far, I like what I see...
