Hey there!

Hailing from Ft. Worth, TX.

Just purchased a black '03 Marauder with 57K original miles - build #5922. Flew to Baltimore and drove her home with nary a hiccup.

Been searching for quite awhile to purchase and have already perused the many upgrades/enhancements available for this car - am anxious to get started!

Any fellow Texans, please contact me to meet for a beer or a sandwich at Ricky's - my treat!

Thanks and looking forward to meeting you all,

PS: What is the best, most valuable or satisfying addition/modification you made for your new purchase?

New to me 2003 Grand Marquis

I stumbled on this car by mistake. A person I know actually had this car and it was sitting for as long as I can remember. I was interested in buying their broken Mazda, that also sat for years. One day she called me and said do you want to buy the Mazda? We're ready to sell. I went down and bought it, and she also asked if I knew anyone that might be interested in the Grand Marquis. I didnt know anything about Panther's but I said i'd take it for a spin. The rear suspension was shot, the engine had a miss and the battery was shot, but I still ended up buying it for $700.

I fixed up the mazda and it sold instantly, which left me with this car. I started driving it around and seeing what it needed. Ended up replacing the super blown rear shocks, doing the intake manifold to fix the miss, changing the oil, putting in a $50 walmart battery, took it in to Ford for the LCM recall, and cleaned the hell out of the interior. I have 3 other cars that I drive regularly, but i have become attached to the way this car rides. Its comfortable, rwd, and a nice upper trim so has a lot of creature comforts. Perfect winter car - the miles are somewhat high, but Ive got about $1000 into the car total and for the price, its one of the most comfortable cars ive ever driven.

2003 LS with 170k.

This forum is awesome and really covers just about everything I would need to do to it, too.

Pics are on Imgur, not sure how to post direct links.

I present myself again, I live in the north of Mexico, a couple of years ago I had a Grand Marquis 2001 I do not have that car anymore.

Last month I bought a Grand Marquis GS 1990, which needs a lot of improvements, but in general it is in good condition, it was what I liked, and what I paid for it.

It is a project for me, since I have a vehicle of the company, usually on weekends I do work in the car.
Today finish installing the intake manifold, change the seals and clean everything.
    Change oil, filters, etc.

I just have a problem, maybe I leave a vacuum hose wrong or some sensor does not connect it correctly, because I put the transmission in D and the engine shuts down.

In these days I will continue reviewing the problem.

   I leave here some photos.

Hello All I'm new here and am looking for info to improve my "Vicki" as my wife has so named her. its a 2005 P71 Titanium Grey is what I'm told still researching all I can on her. She has true bucket seats, all factory Car. I got her at auction with 79,000 miles on her. I basically got to drive back and forth to work, about 35 miles each way. I always wanted a cop car to restore and use in car shows in the area. I was looking for a SSV Mustang from the 80's but I'm not a rich guy. I work for the state of Delaware as a Correctional Officer. You should see the looks as I drive to work in uniform and the folks flying up beside me then throttling back as they see the patch which is very similar to the state police guys. I love my car and still plan on restoring it to it's street side beauty. First things on the list are tint the windows and set up a center console with the proper control boxes for a unmarked cruiser. I am looking for the part number for the wigwag controller that plugs in in front of the grill any help would be appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Picked up a 2001 Grand Marquis with only 72,000 miles. Only one owner. Outside of a few nicks and scratches, looks great. Swapped the factory radio/cassette for a factory radio/cd unit. Going to have the transmission checked, every once in a while, reverse is a little picky. Going to get suspension checked, i think the shocks are still original.

My 2 big issues to tackle, the drivers power window starts ok then slows as it goes down, close to finishing, it speeds up. It gets worse in colder weather. The other is occasionally when driving, the car chugs for a second and the temp light lights briefly, then goes out and car runs normally.

I love the room in the trunk. So far, I'm liking the car.
