Where to find canned SCT Tunes?
I keep seeing people post about canned SCT tunes for different applications, but by any chance does anyone know where to download them? I was going to look for one for my '03 Grand Marquis, but for use with a 3.27 gear ratio and the 80mm Marauder MAF if one is out there. Maybe they only come with the device when you buy it from them? Now that I think about it, I guess that is how it is since you need a strategy code in the tune.

My thought was to load a canned tune, then pull it with HPT and customize from there.

Thanks. Once I realized you need a strategy code in the tune for it to work, I kind of figured that. I ordered mine from a custom tuner and not from SCT, so he had uploaded his tunes on it. This was for my Flex, then it moved into my F150. Who all does decent tunes for our cars?

I've always heard "canned" tunes are universal and do more harm than good, It's for the engine but may be worse for the trans, that kind of stuff.

I don't want to run on it for good. I am just looking for a baseline with the close scaling for the 80mm MAF that I can load into HPT and build my own proper tune. FYI I've tuned my own LS cars, Ecoboosts, Subaru's, my GN, etc. It takes a long time and a lot of logging to get a custom tune right. That is why I like to start with something cheap / canned and then build my own. I have paid a lot of money for reputable tuners, only to learn it on my own and fix lots of things that do not show up on a 15 minute drive or a couple dyno tunes.

I saw that it supports "some" 03 - 04. I sold my setup to a friend, so I need to get him over to plug it in and see what happens. If it does not read it, then I'll just go the SCT route and work with someone to dial it in with the logs I have.

If you go the sct route, Marty at mo's does a lot of remote tuning, especially in the marauder community.
