What did you do to your Panther lately?
Looked at an 03 lx sport with 39k miles for my neighbor. It is super clean, black on black. If it wasn't for just doing my driveway I would have bought it if he didn't. I'll get some pics when he brings it home. I'm actually kind of jealous . I looked at an 06 gmq ultimate with 41k miles first for him, which was very clean also. They pulled the trigger and got the lx. He said they gave $7995. This dealer has had several low mile panthers, so I may check them out when we are ready to replace my wife's car.

Joints are solid so could it be the drive shaft is off 90 degrees? There's no visible markings to exactly which position the DS should be in for best balance...
Driveshafts are balanced outside of the car, it should not matter which bolt goes where.
The driveshaft is balanced with weights stuck to the outside, it's possible a weight came off and the shaft is now out of balance.
You can see the weight on the left side
Thanks.. That's what I figured.. I'll look closer. I did pull it out to inspect the tail shaft seal and put it back exactly as removed. Vibration developed during a road trip. Along with the vibration it sounds like a B17 bomber humming along.

RE: What did you do to your Panther lately?
Well, I held off on winterizing the Green Machine for a few weeks since the weather had been decent here. So, on Monday night we went for a 120 mile run to see a nice Christmas display that has been a ritual of mine for almost 40 years (38 to be exact). At least that got everything good and hot and ran out some of the older fuel. On the way home, I filled up the tank and added stabilizer and drove about 5 miles to get it through the system. Parked her at her spot for the winter and called it a night. Today I hooked up the battery tender, cleaned out the interior and trunk, and officially called it a season.
