That I couldn't say. All the sheriff's cars had an ass load of hours on them when I was looking at them. Some had 10k plus.

Well if they just sat around idling all the time then I could see that. Almost makes me wonder if they didn't leave them running while at home as well.

For the most part winters are not too bad. February can be brutal sometimes. Most of our sherrif departments are in rural townships so I'd imagine a lot of idling. Cars that are from the inner cities tend to have less hours on them around here

RE: What did you do to your Panther lately?
Earlier this week the low fuel light came on and the gauge is reading empty, but it's got about half a tank. I have to go by mileage now until I can get under there and see what's up, hopefully the plug just came off since I know the level senders are hard to find.

Black vic I know your pain! The gas light came on and I put 18 1/2 gallons in. Something was lieing to me....

Put gas in, and replaced the window regulator etc on my blue 08 CVPI. The door panel didn't quite go back in like it should have.. still working on it. all will be good.

Sounds like your sending unit, my 06 went bad and my 2010 is acting up also. It reads correct, but when I fill up it is slow to respond and show full again. I go by the trip odometer

RE: What did you do to your Panther lately?
Went to the storage barn and checked on the Sport. While I was there, I double checked the trunk, center console, and glove box for any freezable items. Battery tender had a green light, so all is good for now. Next week, depending on weather conditions, I plan to winterize the Green Machine and take her out of service for the winter. Sucks not having inside storage for her though.
