Hello from Toronto. I recently aquired a 2009 P71 that was used by the Ontario Provincial Police (they patrol the province's highways and provide policing for rural areas and places that don't have their own police depts). It has a 3:27 Trac-Loc axle. This particular P71 has an interesting history. The OPP had their 100th anniversary in 2009. To mark the occasion, they ordered 6 Street Appearance Package units (no spotlight, the chrome package, full wheel covers, but with the cloth buckets and rubber floor), then they added the usual cruiser equipment, push bars, light bars, cage, etc. These six cars were used for promotional events and holidays, events such as car shows, job fairs and the like. One is in the OPP museum. As far as I know, they were not used as normal highway cruisers, because of their pristine interiors and low miles and hours. Mine had 96,000 kilometres (60,000 miles) and only 576 hours. So it has all the police upgrades but was not beat on or abused. Drives great, much nicer than the regular OPP cruisers that I had test driven. Here is a pic of it, plus a couple from when they were in service. (mine's door number is 5-100).

I aquired some really nice rims and Firestone Firehawk GT Pursuit tires. Now the chrome and the body are complimented by clean shiny rims and tires.

Welcome! Great ride and score... These are such fun cars.. I drove my G35 coupe recently and was cut off on 2 occasions.. They don't dare while driving the P71 so it's hard no to just drive it everywhere!

Welcome you're going to love your vic. It's my first time owning a ford in general and I'm quite pleased so far. For something that only has 250 horsepower and a 4 speed Auto, it really hauls ass like crazy.

It's interesting the different paint schemes the different agencies come up with. That one looks clean.

They deliberately ordered the SAP but also specified the rubber floor and the regular vinyl rear seats. They wanted as nice a car as possible with chrome package, and then they outfitted it out as a regular cruiser. I guess they felt they could do without a spotlight.
