Driver Side View Mirror Replacement Question.
The driver side view on my 2003 Lincoln Town Car has turned brown tint color. Has anyone had this problem? I have seen replacement glass that glues over the original glass but would like to keep heating/defrost function on mirror. I'm look for way to to just replace glass and keep heating function.

RE: Driver Side View Mirror Replacement Question.
I would go to a junkyard and get the whole assembly. They're easy to swap out. Take the door panel off, three screws (I think), disconnect the wiring and that's it.

It may sound simpler to replace the glass only but it aint. It's probably cheaper to get the part used (a nice one) that the "cheap" stuff they sell at autozones etc that will fall off, break, scrape the inside of the mirror shell when the glass moves during adjustment etc.

The only "tricky" part is when you remove the three nuts hold the mirror so it doesnt fall and scratch itself. Also when mounting it on yours, I would replace the foam thats glued to the perimeter of the mount (on the inside) with new 3m felt tape.

Driver Side View Mirror Replacement Question.
A real replacement glass is easy to swap and should be heated, I think it was standard for TC.
