Crown Victoria P71
To Do List:
Remove Street Appearance... Anything chrome goes black... Now I'm thinking of keeping it

Make rear door handles operate from inside (Just needs rods)

Make windows operational from rear. Wiring is there, just have to find out where its disconnected. Done. Thanks BigVin

Fix broken exhaust manifold bolt.... Its a mystery as to why it is broken...This is going to suck.

LCM continously draws around 6 amps.. This will be changed.

Still on the fence about removing the deer guard on the front. Removed the wrap arounds. Looks much better.

Yeah, the more I think about it.... The more I want to take it off. I can always put it back on if I miss having it for whatever reason.

Thanks for the info on the connector!

And that's funny about Ford addressing it. It was just in the shop a couple of weeks ago for this, and they tried to douse the SO for a grand to fix it...

It's all good. I work at a radio shop, and I'm not afraid of a soldering iron... If I can figure out why it draws...

Also, I found said connector in the B pillar, and connected it... All is working.... Thanks again!

And as far as the chrome stuff, I am a total eBay whore, and have found all of the black replacement stuff I will need.

RE: Crown Victoria P71
The car looks pretty good, I never understood the SAP cars with push bars though.
There are always people looking to buy those push bars so it will help you make back some of what you spend on the black replacement parts.
The chrome around the windows can be covered with black trim tape, some have even used electrical tape.

RE: Crown Victoria P71
Oh this was not only an SAP car with a push bar, but it was also fully striped...

Your chrome window delete looks great! I have a bunch of wide tape, so I may have a go at it that way.

RE: Crown Victoria P71
There was a guy that put a kit together for our cars, came with all the tape needed in the right widths to cover the window surround. He had bought it in quantity for his car and was able to make a few bucks, not a bad deal.

Thanks. It has some horrible clear coat problems. Mostly on the hood. And of course the razor blade dings from the lettering removal.

I'm keeping the main part of it on for now. I took the wrap around sections off. It looks much better now. However, I may change my mind again. Where do you live?

Does anyone know what in the world this thing is? It sits behind the spare tire in the trunk against the seat back.
