Best bang for the buck mods? Let me know if I missed something
Looking to do some basic upgrades on my '03 MGM. I'm not trying to make this car fast, as I have fast cars, but would like to do a few cost effective upgrades. Here is my list.

J Mod - I'll do this when I change the fluid

Marauder Zip tube / air box - this is for when I'm ready to tune

21mm rear sway bar (Mine already came with 160lb rear springs, 270lb front springs, green tag shocks, and 28mm front sway bar)

Maaaybe 330lb front springs and the HD shocks / struts if the factory ones start leaking.

Factory dual exhaust - I doubt there is any real gain for this car going aftermarket exhaust, right? Maybe different mufflers to make it sound cool.

3.27 or 3.55 rear diff if I score one while junkyarding

18" Mustang wheels

Tune it after I find gears and zip tube - I don't plan on doing anything but 87 octane on this car.

Anything I missed that is cheap / junkyard obtainable?

You are on the right track. Going to dual exhaust will help. Gears and tune was the best money i spent

Thanks! I'll hit the junk yards here and there over the next few months and see what I can collect.

Alrighty! I scored a 21mm RSB and a dual exhaust. I also grabbed an Alpine headunit from a Town Car. I already upgraded my speakers and may use this since it has the factory sub out. If not, I can turn a profit on Ebay.

No luck on zip tubes or gears, as those were all picked clean from the yard I was at. I did find a '09 CV with what looked to be beefier springs and shocks. I had no no luck googling the part numbers, but the rear springs had 17mm coils and the fronts were 19mm. To put that in perspective, my rears are 14mm and my fronts are 15mm. I have the 160 rears and 270 fronts. I really don't know what this one had. Was really tempted, but ran out of time and was hesitant to reuse sprigs and shocks with who knows how many miles on them.

If you're handy with a welder or know someone who is, find another set of stock control arms and box 'em.

Good idea. I'll get to that and the watts link arms whenever I replace the rear axle.

Scored some more goodies:
Marauder airbox and MAF
04 CVPI zip tube
non-resonated zip tube for 70mm MAF
3:27 rear end (open)
Spare rear control arms to box
18" Mustang wheels and tires
Spare upper plenum to port

Only one more thing to score....70mm TB off an Econoline van. Getting there.

Well I ran by the junkyard and grabbed a 70mm TB off a F250 5.4 along with a spare plenum from a crown vic that I can port. I should have that on next week. Then the modding will be complete!

Alrighty! Plenum ported and on along with the 70mm TB. Now I'm just working on dialing in 87 and 91 octane tunes with Marty and I'll have this car wrapped up. Maybe better headlights one day, but that's it. Things are coming together nicely.
