Air bag light 3-3 fix
I'm new to this forum I just picked up a 2006 Mercury grand Marquis I am getting the airbag light trouble code that flashes three Dash three and I know that is the seatbelt pretensioner, my question is this do I replace the seatbelt on the B pillar or the seat belt receiver attached to the seat to get rid of this trouble code.

RE: Air bag light 3-3 fix
Welcome! For the 33 code, the drivers side seatbelt on the B pillar is the culprit. The same thing happened to me 2 years ago.

RE: Air bag light 3-3 fix
any suggestions other than:
1) remove seat belt and send it off for replacement of pre-tensioner
2)replace seat belt to the tune of $450-$650

I have noticed a lot of youtube videos of folks wiring in resistors to "fool" the air bag module in to thinking the pre-tensioner is ok since it's actually a resistor problem in the pre-tensioner anyway. Any thoughts on this option?

RE: Air bag light 3-3 fix
I found some used seatbelt assemblies off of eBay for about $50 per side, they haven’t failed me yet.
