2001 Grand Marquis torque specs for tie rods, sleeves, pitman and idler arms
I just got a 2001 Grand Marquis in May...I don't have a repair manual and did a search on the internet with no success. Can someone let me know what the torque specifications are for the inner and outer tie rods, adjusting sleeves, idler arm and pitman arm?

Thanks!

Never mind...I emailed Federal-Mogul (MOOG) and got a response back.

Torque specs are as follows:

ES3311S - Adjusting Sleeve = 21 ft.lbs.
ES3494 - Inner Tie Rod = 41 ft.lbs.
ES3495 - Outer Tie Rod = 41 ft.lbs.
K8283 - Idler Arm = frame bracket 85 ft.lbs./centerlink end 56 ft.lbs.
K8688 - Pitman Arm = sector shaft 225 ft.lbs./centerlink end 40 ft.lbs.

I installed the parts. All that is left is torque down the tie rods and install the cotter pins, lube...then, go get an alignment. Hardest thing was getting out the cotter pins...OK, maybe the pitman arm removal...OK, maybe laying on concrete for hours.
